Ann Crossman - Vice-President

crossmanTwo of my fondest childhood memories are related to horses. The first is of racing horses around the trails of Percy Warner Park in Nashville, Tennessee with my sister to see how many times we could go around the trail in an hour. The second is of spending time with my aunt and her horses. Horses have always been a part of my life from a very early age. It was not until my husband decided to purchase a horse for me approximately 13 years ago that I rode a Paso Fino horse. Since that time, I have had the wonderful opportunity of enjoying our Paso Fino horses on many trails in Ohio, Virginia, and South Carolina while being successful in the show ring.

I am a graduate of Ohio University and the University of Dayton School of Law. My husband and I have 2 children and 4 grandchildren, all of whom ride horses. I am currently the managing partner in the law firm of Crossman & Maciorowski, LLC. As an attorney, I have represented and currently represent both nonprofit corporations and for profit corporations, along with individuals on a variety of issues.

This past summer, I completed my training in mediation in South Carolina and am in the process of becoming certified as a mediator in Ohio and South Carolina. I am the past Chair of the Montgomery County Planning Commission, a mentor for new attorneys for the Ohio Supreme Court, and I currently serve as a member of the Board of Directors for several nonprofit corporations. As a member of the Paso Fino Horse Association, I have served as Chair of the Ethics Committee and am currently the Chair of the Hearing Committee for the PFHA. I also am a member of the Paso Fino Committee for the USEF.

Lisa Gorsuch - Treasurer

lisa gorsuch

In 2000, I purchased my first Paso Fino horse, from there I became active in the Mason Dixon PFHA (MDPFHA), serving as its president for many years and more recently as its delegate. I am a firm believer that promotion of the breed starts at the local level with the farms and regions. For over 10 years, our farm in cooperation with MDPFHA has actively participated in the Maryland Horse Expo educating the public about the Paso Fino horse and its versatility. For the past several years, we have been asked that our Paso Fino horses perform in the opening ceremonies at the Expo, giving the breed even more exposure

On the professional side, I started in the accounting field working full-time in the accounting office at a local shoe factory and attending the local college obtaining my degree in accounting. In less than three years, I was appointed assistant to the Controller. I then went to work for an attorney who had multiple businesses, one of which was a small accounting firm which I purchased and have owned and operated for the last 20 years. Besides providing personal and business tax preparation services, my business has evolved into more business management and controller type services for small businesses.

I have served on the PFHA board as the Mason Dixon Delegate for the last 5 years being active on many PFHA committees and chairing the Futurity and Breeders Sweepstakes and Planning Committees. Last year, I was appointed to the Finance and Personnel Committee. As a Delegate for all of these years, I strive towards identifying the issues, finding the commonality and be part of the solution. As treasurer, I want to be part of the solution that will move this association forward and to ensure its longevity.

Patti Blichmann - Secretary

patti portrait dsc 9773I bought my first horse a Paso Fino yearling colt in 1976. I started out as a member of APF then joined PFOBA, now PFHA. My PFHA member number is 137 and I have been an active member since then. I have been a trainer since 1975, starting out training problem horses at a Rental Stable. I worked for 17 years for Gary & Stephanie Goscha of La Villa Ventura Inc. before starting Blichmann Training in 2002.

In 1991 I became a PFHA Steward and in 2005 an USEF Steward and am now Senior Certified in both. At this time I do more stewarding than showing as the majority of my current clients are trail riders.

Since my beginning with PFOBA now PFHA I have served at the regional level as Secretary of Mid America, Treasurer Ozark Empire and High Plains, and presently the President of High Plains. On a national level I have worked on many committees over the years as well as delegate for Ozark Empire and High Plains. Presently I am on the Judges and Stewards Committee, Education Committee, Rules Committee, National Show Committee and the Chair of the Recreational Rider Committee.
