Bill Nelson is a Tar Heel—born and raised in North Carolina—graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill. A Vietnam veteran, he completed 20 years of active service as an officer in the U.S. Navy—retiring in the rank of Commander (O-5). Post-service, Bill was a District Manager in the financial services arena for over 15 years. Bill was the Executive Director of USA Cares, a national non-profit dedicated to helping military families in times of financial crisis. Recently, Bill led a contractor team in support of U.S. Army Cadet Command at Fort Knox, KY. Bill and his wife Beth have 2 children and 3 grandchildren and look forward to their 40th anniversary this March. They are re-locating to Georgetown, KY in the near future.
Erin has served as an Editor, Corresponding Editor, Writer, and Research Assistant. She worked as Purchasing Assistant for the global supply chain of an international company, where she wrote the franchising newsletter and assisted in website development. Erin graduated Magna Cum Laude from Drew University and earned an M.A. in English from the University of Kentucky. She began riding horses at the age of seven in her hometown of Winston-Salem, N.C. Over the next 10 years, she competed in three-day eventing and enjoyed trail riding her horse Breeze. As the Editor of Paso Fino Horse World, Erin enjoys getting to know the PFHA members, their horses, and their stories.
A Lexington area native, Rebecca grew up on her family's farm with Thoroughbred race horses, where she learned to do everything from stable management to starting young horses. She loves to trail ride, and her horse interests have crossed over to other breeds. Before coming to PFHA, Rebecca not only did her family business accounting and administrative duties, but she also worked at Windy Ridge Farm as receptionist and accountant.
Mary's background includes equine experience as a Registration Specialist at The Jockey Club, Accounting Assistant and Bookkeeper for a breeding farm, as well as an administrative, fulfillment, and customer service positions with Fortune 500 companies.
